CAMP GEN MATEO CAPINPIN, Tanay, Rizal –Rainbow Rangers from UP Diliman, Quezon City conducted a one (1) day Educational Tour at the Headquarters, 2nd Infantry (Jungle Fighter) Division, PA on May 23, 2015.
Said group was fascinated with the amenities and warm welcome accorded by the Jungle Fighters as they witnessed the Band Drill Exhibition and Static Display of Infantry Rifle Squad Organization.
Aside from visiting and utilizing the various amenities and facilities of 2ID such as 2ID Library, Jungle Fighter’s Park, GENSAN Pistol Range, Tower (for rappelling and zip line), they also enjoyed chit-chatting with the Jungle Fighters who served as their tour guides.
Likewise, said group enjoyed their firing at Known Distance Range using M16 Rifle and a calibre .45 Pistol at GENSAN Pistol Range with the supervision and assistance of 2ID Instructors and Range Officers in order to ensure their safety.
They also had the traditional “Boodlefight” along with the Officers and Enlisted Personnel of 2ID headed by MGen Romeo G Gan AFP, Commander, 2ID.
“Rainbow Rangers just like other groups from various sectors and organizations enjoyed their camp tour here in 2ID because of its ambiance and the amenities it offers,” said Lt Col Eric C Guevarra, Battalion Commander, 2nd CMOBn, 2ID, PA.
“I encourage other challenge-seekers, nature-lovers, and other groups who have not yet visited Camp Capinpin to experience the fun and the challenges it offer here in the Home of the Jungle Fighters,” he added.
