Infantry (Jungle Fighter) Division, Philippine Army unwrapped the Gender and Development Trainer’s Training (GADTT) 2017 with a theme: A Step Towards A Fully Gender-Sensitive Philippine Army held at Sierra Madre Officer’s Clubhouse (SMOC), Camp Capinpin, Tanay, Rizal on 22 June 2017.
Colonel Marceliano V. Teofilo (INF) PA, Chief of Staff, 2ID, PA was the keynote speaker of the activity with Atty. Mylen B. Gonzales-Esquivel, RSW Member, Philippine Commission on Women; National Gender Resource Pool; Executive Director, Child Justice League Inc.; Retainer Lawyer, Child Protection Unit – PGH; and Consultant, Gender and Development Mainstreaming.
The GADTT aims to provide a new dimension and profound knowledge that will better equip the officers, enlisted personnel and civilian employees of Philippine Army. And to fully support the advocacy of the Philippine Army on gender equality and ensure that explicit, actual and potential biases are removed.
