The Commanding General, Philippine Army, Lieutenant GeneralGlorioso V Miranda AFP visited the 2nd Infantry (Jungle Fighters) Division, Philippine Army at Camp Capinpin, Tanay, Rizal on Friday January 20, 2017, 10:00 in the morning.
Upon his arrival, Lt. Gen. Miranda was accorded with Military Honors and was warmly welcomed by Major General Rhoderick M Parayno AFP, Commander, 2ID, PAalong with Jungle Fighter Officers, Enlisted Personnel, and Civilian Employees.
His visitboosted the morale of all Jungle Fighters as he emphasized that his leadership aims to strengthen the welfare of the soldiers throughhis knowledge-based management system.
He also emphasized that the priority of the national government is to deliver the force protection equipment not only for the Philippine Army but for the entire Armed Forces of the Philippines (AFP).
“The Army leadership will actively participate and coordinate with other branches of the AFP (Philippine Air Force and Philippine Navy) for joint operations and inter-operability and fighting prowess,” Lt. Gen. Miranda said.
He added that various necessary equipment for the Army, Air Force and Navy will be coming in probably by two or three monthstime, to enhance the respective capability of all the members of the Armed Forces of the Philippines .
More so, Lt. Gen. Miranda stressed that he experienced the sufferings and sacrifices of every soldier that is why his stewardship willfocuson the accomplishment of the mission and goodmanagementfor the Army.
Although there are social implications with the operation, rotation, and deployment of troops in Jolo, Zamboanga and Basilan, according to him, every soldier must always be responsive with the support and goodwill extended by the Commander-In-Chief, President Rodrigo R Duterte to the Philippine Army.
On the other hand, Lt. Gen. Miranda commended MGen Rhoderick M Parayno AFP, Commander, 2ID for leading the 2ID in accomplishing its mission by insuring peace and development within its Area of Responsibility.
