Infantry (Jungle Fighter) Division sponsored by the Armed Forces and Police Mutual Benefit Association Incorporated (AFPMBAI) is now fully furnished and is ready to cater children who will undergo Kindergarten.
According to Mrs. Edith S Mato MAEd, Principal, Camp Mateo Capinpin Elementary School (CMCES), a total of 38 pupils have already enrolled for Kindergarten which will open on June 13, 2016 with Mrs. Sheril P Cedeño as their teacher.
Meanwhile, in partnership with the AFPMBAI, the 2nd
Infantry (Jungle Fighter) Division spearheaded the Inauguration, Blessing and Turn-Over of AFPMBAI Day Care Center on June 20, 2016 with MGen R Demosthenes C Santillan AFP, Vice Commander, Philippine Army and RAdm Primitivo P Gopo AFP (Ret), Head, Audit Group, AFPMBAI.
As part of the said ceremonies, MGen Santillan and RAdm Gopo handed-over the Symbolic Key to MGen Romeo G Gan AFP, Commander, 2ID and Mrs. Mato which was followed by the giving of bags and school supplies to the CMCES pupils courtesy of the AFPMBAI.
According to MGen Romeo G Gan AFP, Commander, 2ID, said undertaking is just one among the plans and programs of 2ID to further improve its amenities and facilities all intended to provide avenue for the kids to learn and enjoy inside Camp Capinpin.
On the other hand, it can be remembered that only last February 12, 2016, a Ground Breaking Ceremony for the said facility was conducted with Lt Gen Eduardo M Año AFP, Commanding General, Philippine Army.
According to Col Marceliano V Teofilo GSC (INF) PA, Chief of Staff, 2ID, the said facility was quickly realized due to the concerted efforts of the Jungle Fighters on the facilitation and construction of the said building.
Said facility is also equipped with a television set, wall fans, tables and chairs, and other school paraphernalia.
