Prior to the said activity, MGen Gan emphasized the importance of bamboo propagation as it has a lot of environmental benefits. According to him, it helps in the stabilization of soil, prevents erosion, and produces more oxygen into the air. It can be remembered that the Command conducted a Seminar/Workshop on Bamboo Pruning, Tree Caring, and Establishment of Bamboo Park on May 20-21, 2015 held at the Audio-Visual Room, 2nd Division Training School. Said propagation is just one among the environmental efforts of 2ID within its Area of Responsibility (AOR).
