29 teams compete in the 2ID Commander’s Cup 2015

CAMP GEN MATEO CAPINPIN, Tanay, Rizal – A total of twenty nine (29) teams from various sectors, and organic personnel and Officers of 2nd Infantry (Jungle Fighter) Division are competing in the three (3) days shooting competition dubbed as “2ID Commander’s Cup 2015 4th Edition” at GENSAN Pistol Range, 2nd Division Training School, H2ID on November 6 – 8, 2015. Said shooting competition is one among the activities in line with the birthday celebration of Commander, 2ID, MGen Romeo G Gan AFP who will be turning fifty-five (55) years old on November 10, 2015. The said activity also aims to generate funds for the refurbishment of the Heroes Ward of the Army Station Hospital (2ASH) for the benefit of soldiers who are wounded while performing Peace Operations in the field. During the opening ceremony of the said activity, MGen Gan expressed his gratitude for the presence of all the participants of the 2ID Commander’s Cup 2015. “Indeed, your presence is a manifestation of our strong allegiance which drives us to be more responsive and dedicated servant leaders,” he said. Aside from the shooting competition, a joint bloodletting activity will also be conducted on November 10, 2015 at the Division Grandstand, H2ID in partnership with The Free and Accepted Masons of Kagitingan Lodge No. 286, and the Philippine Blood Bank Center. The said bloodletting activity with the theme, “Dugo ng Sundalo mo, Karugtong ng Buhay mo,” will start at 9:30 AM which will be participated by more or less two hundred (200) Jungle Fighters.
